Coach gave us a pleasant surprise today. No double training, which is why I'm grinning away at home. In less than 10 hours, we're gonna have to bid 2008 goodbye, and welcome the new year ahead. I don't wanna be a J2 yet, I don't wanna be 18 yet, so many 'I don't wanna', but life's gotta go on. 2008 was full of new memories, things that happened made me smile, cry, laugh, even wanna die. But its over, whether I like it or not, and I'll just have to be thankful for everything that has happened, thankful for all the new people that has emerged in my life, for the new life in VJC.

Thank you the papa/mama/korkor for supporting me throughout, even though your incessant nagging about my soccertrngs and studies have bugged me consistently, I know your mean well.
Thank you the socceroos for being sucha great team and pushing me on forever, and believing in me. To Gen Mama & Sab Papa for giving me a cosy family heehee!

Coach made us reflect today, after training. Reflect on our life throughout the year. My own highlights that jump out at me when I think of 2008, how some sucked so bad, but yet some made me grin so mad!

PAE period: a good honeymoon break from O levels, beginning to feel the sadness of my dearest 9 other buddies splitting up into different schools.
Orientation: I love Igor-Iyrocus, the first few people I really got to know in VJ, all the fun we had together, with our really friendly and lovely OGLs.
O level results: A real goodbye to IJ and live the reality that 10 of us cannot be together anymore.
Start of JAE: New school, new class, new CCA, new friends. A tad bit of trouble coping with studies, but I was too playful to care. Ponned lectures and tutorials, having the time of my life with my newfound friends. Parkway and Siglap became the 'IN-Thing', no more HDB Hub.
Orientation 2: Had to chance to be OGL, but it was full of crap.
Soccer camp: Double scam JTS, gauntlet.
Soccer season: Trained really really hard, everything was about soccer and getting to the finals.
Soccer finals: Wanxin's winning goal and rejoice, everything we worked for was worth it.
OBS: New people, new experience, rejuvenating.
Mid years: Tried to cram everything in 2 weeks, flunked.
Soccer: Secret Saturdays hush hush.
Promos: Alternate between Esplanade and Starbucks. Still flunked.
PW: A period of SHIT, but I've learnt a lot.
Soccer: Learning to step up, without the seniors around to guide us.
Hong Kong Trip: More friendlies against really good opponents, dim sum & Xiao Long Bao!
Team Night: What more can I say? It was awesome.
Today: We're gonna rock the house down at Gling's, with VJSG alumni.

I'm gonna embrace 2009, make it good. I thought it might be better to jot down my resolutions here, to remind myself of it, even if its silly, at least it might last for a week. Nat Ng was telling me its important to have resolutions, I'll listen to her! ( I'm missing Natalie Ng, where are you and where's your email? )

#1 Have a better balance between soccer and family. My mummy will get lonely.
#2 Walk faster, try to exterminate the 'inability-to-walk-fast-after-trng' thought.
#3 Stop ponning lectures, do my tutorials, score for every tests.
#4 Train my hardest to achieve my personal aim.
#5 Stop being late for class, especially for Mr Lee's Econs.

TEAM NIGHT 2008!
What a blast! All the preparations, rehearsals, late nights up doing the videos-WAS ALL WORTH IT!

I was feeling quite apprehensive initially, worried about how the seniors would react, perhaps they won't like it, or perhaps they will think the skit is lame even though we portrayed it to be funny. Turned out, the smiles and laughter from them was priceless I'd say! While clicking the video slideshow to coordinate with the skit, instead of watching the video for the millionth time, I was watching their expressions instead and boy it was hilarious!

Skit went well, there were glitches here and there but these vjsg best actresses covered up for each other. Videos could work (whew). Coach's NOBODY dance with us WONDER GIRLS was ultra funny, I'm glad it worked out too. The dance was super gay, but Coach was a total sport! And he broke the treasure chest! Food looks great, though all we could steal was bits and pieces here and there. I had no idea that there was no dinner for us, all the lil starving ones. Coach, Karen, Nat and Xin's performance was a hit too! Their story was really funny, and Nat is the bomb when it comes to singing!! Prize and speeches, 'really heartwarming', haha. Congratulations to those who won, I think you guys really deserved it! It felt kinda like a Star Awards when they made their Thank You Speeches and "I really don't know what to say" XD! Senior's video, our 'sad video', Queen of my heart, camwhoring, cleaning up, prata and home.

Read all the letters from the seniors. I was really really really touched. I love these 9 seniors a lot a lot and I'd miss them greatly. I am missing them already. Yesterday really felt like a farewell, especially with those letters. Some of them really touched my heart and it made me cry :') By the time the night is over, I felt so overwhelmed, so tired, so zombiefied. It was a FANTASTIC NIGHT.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Christmas was so not Christmassy this year, but I still enjoyed it. It was something out of the ordinary from the past few years. Simple but I Like It! (:

Christmas Eve, dinner with Mummy and Daddy and Me! The brother was MIA! @ Botak Jones near our house, the food was great, and I realised how much I missed dining properly with my parents, missed all those times we played around, joked like a joker and just enjoy family company. I've been neglecting them for dinners, thanks to late nights out hah!

Christmas Day itself was good too! A little slow going, but faster and faster towards the end.

Woke up for a nice breakfast as a family.
Baked a chocolate walnut cake w/ christmas deco with mummy.
Met Bing downstairs to exchange gifts.
Big family gathering at Saraca.
Turkey, Ham, Cranberry sauce, Macaroons, Cake, Presents.

And so once again my routine life is back, but it seems to be a little sparkier, little happier. Maybe its the Christmas season. I initially planned to skip Christmas this year, considering the fact that its only 3 days away and I have nothing on my hands yet, not a single Xmas shopping trip, not a card sent, the usual tree in my house is not even up yet! Hence my whole family decides to skip Christmas! But no I'm not spared! Friends and cousins are still exchanging gifts, so I'll see what I can conjure up spontaneously!

My ankle betrayed me again today. That traitor. Despite taping and guarding it, it still managed a piak and I was left helpless for the rest of training, besides planks and more planks. Sock and I did a record of 300 crunches for training today, something that doesn't involve our legs XD

Loads of teamnight preps now, trying to squeeze in time for 'Lead, Chlorine and Ammonia' (Miss CYB introduced that silly song to me, as well as the 'Whore' song whom She-Shall-Not-Be-Named) and now those songs are stuck in my head, with the image of her almost drenching the woman infront with water !! Recognition I strive, Smiles I get, Happy Meal! That was so random, but I'm a happy girl today!

I think the soccer juniors are a funny bunch! Really nice and cool, whats with like termite, monkey, partygalgal just like her senior gen, the-one-who-flirts-with-laoda, umbrella, soup so manyy!!! Looking forward to getting to know them EVEN BETTER!! Termite got a taste of my pickpocketing already, whoops!

Trudged home for a short nap before heading for family gathering.
Celebrated Yiyi's birthday with a bittersweet cake baked by mummy.
Headed out to town to meet Bing and Gen.
Fort Canning for Ben&Jerry's Chunk Fest, gigs and icecream and QUEUES ):
The Cathay for Ben&Jerry's live music and Snapple.
Midnight Movie-Quarantine. Screams, nachos, crazy biting people.
Late night walk down town to Funan IT Mall, running away from rabies.
Changed at Swissotel grand toilet.
Cabbed back to meet the socceroos.
And that became Sunday.

Barely made it home for naps before tuition again.

I'm back from the Land of Polluted Air and Cantonese : Hong Kong!!! (:
It was a pretty fun trip overall, with the Soccer Team and Tennis Girls, minus off the dry skin and falling ill part :/

TaiTong Chalet was rather interesting, bunked 5 in a room for us, defenders are defensive! Haha, prob some inside joke. Laoda's striptease, TKGS's 'person nearest to the lights turn off the lights', Bing's catastrophe that led to Tano and I almost having to bathe her, brushing Bing's teeth, feeding her XD

2 friendlies against National Team and HongKong Uni. National Team was by far the toughest team I've fought against, they own in terms of strength, speed, height and skill, and that is basically the basis of soccer, so hmmm. HongKongU was a little different, played 7-aside. I got to try playing as Striker!! I kinda enjoyed it, though I was pretty blur about the runs.

Victoria Peak's star was Betterknee, the birthday girl. Now who gets to celebrate their birthday on a peak man! Lucky girl! Ladies Street, Times Square, Lines Cafe (XD) oooh so many!

Hotel Ibis, Room 1208 was the killer! The Injured & The Sick, taking care of each other! We good! Massage the sore elbow, sponge the feverish head haha what a joke. Our failed attempts to catch the 2am sunrise XP

Hong Kong, I guess it was a pretty good trip afterall (: My views of ppl have changed, some for the better whom I even ate a meal with WOOOOO and shook hand WOOOOOO. Catastrophe: I sprained my ankle (again) today. I thought it was just a normal twist, so I tried to walk it off. But it became sooo bad, despite taping and ankle guarding, I'm with a limp now. My failed attempts to hide it from my mom SIGH.

Krispy Kremes and Troubles don't go well together. Krispy Kremes cure the Troubles, that is in a temporary sense only. Trouble only finds its way back after the Krispy Kremes are covered. Krispy Kremes make Trouble go away, but Trouble comes back once Krispy Kremes disappear. If I keep eating Krispy Kremes, all Troubles will run, but new Trouble called Fats will be introduced and I don't want that. So to prevent Fats from coming, I cannot eat Krispy Kremes. That would mean Trouble will be bugging me. Worrisome little bugger. Troubles over what? Over That & That. Bottom line is, Krispy Kremes keep me sane, but I fret that Krispy Kremes' running out soon. Oh boo. After tasting Krispy Kremes, I will never touch Donut Factory or Munchy Donuts or whatnot again, unless I suffer from hardcore donuts craving, then I'll probably give in to temptations. As I always do XD This is a really stooooopid post about Krispy Kremes and Troubles. I'm troubled indeed, but I don't wanna spill. I'm hungry indeed, and I've got Krispy Kremes. Family chalet @ The Chevrons, credits to Korkor's NS men discount rate. Although the place was rather small, nevertheless it was still fun with the cousins. Started off the Monday at Astons with the usual crowd followed by Madagascar 2. It was pretty funny as usual with the 'I like to move it move it'. Headed down to Jurong East(?!?!) for BBQ, dip in the pool, bball & volleyball, not to forget Mahjong, cards and a camp on the floor. Getting the 2 babies to sleep was a tough task. Eventually I resorted to the old trick, music. BUT no I do not sing people to sleep. Modern technology allowed me to use my poddy on the hyperactive baby, seranading her to sleep with Death Cab for Cutie. Day 2 was moremore fun&sweat! Tunabread w/ maggi mee, babysitting w/ splashes, basketball, more dips in the pool, powder delight in the ladies, bowling, arcade, more balls and BBQ. The haunting prawns and roasting marshmallows (: Oh the happiness clumped up with smoke -I'm grinning-

Sleepover affair with the Serangoon Bud 243, almost turned nocturnal again. Thank the skies for such a thing called Poddy once more. Trng was pretty fun too yesterday. Interval time between 2 trngs was spent at 11 Siglap View-the monstrous gargantuan humongous gigantic MANSION!! Oh yes Gling's was awesome! More dips in the pool, exhausted our fuels out totally with monkey and a uber heavy waterloaded soccerball. Caught few winks on her highest floor, literally the floor, which was still pretty comfy. Afternoon trng became Win Lose or Draw and Polar Bear, since when do we get such fun? The traditional birthday dunking + Dunk-The-Gullible-Sec4s-When-They-Are-Unaware.

I promised of a little toning down, I guess it shall only start today. Particles were roaming out wild last week, despite those hectics pouring down. Some stuffs were plain bad, but it's not my part to say. I can only do so much to bear with it, keep showing that smile. Facade or not, it's not my place. I only wish it would stop, or get better. Class BBQ at Frances. Finally, I'm going there not for PW, but something fun instead. Lotsa food and oh gorgeous the lambchop, squid, salmon, beefsteak..stuffs I don't usually see at BBQs heh! Mr Leee brought icecream, but it kinda melted to like squishy milk :/ Back at home just seconds before the clock ticked twelve.

Survived double trng on Wednesday, despite being totally shagged due to the lack of Zzzzs.

Mahjong session with the AuntieTix and socceroos was fun at Sher's.

OP was a state of nervousness and whoa I haven't seen so many butterflies in ages! They all just fluttered to my stomach and stayed there for quite long, annoying butters! OP overall was good, managed to not flounder and s-s-sttuu-ttterrr, while trying my hardest to keep that facade of forced smiles despite those fears. Ohkayyy actually it wasn't that bad. FUNnest part was ripping the cue cards into shreds right after we were done, oh the euphoria !

Class lunch finally, more than half the class turned up and we had a really good time ! Jack's Place was filled with liveliness and joy radiating from us ! XD That brilliant lunch resulted in stomachache for trng later on though.

Trng has been pretty interesting this week, with the Thai Coach and Coach Matt coming down, giving new pointers. They all love our attitude of enthusiasm to "carry the goal posts" as the Thai Coach said. I noticed they didn't really commend our skills or whatnot. Not that we are really that skilful, especially from our poor performances the past few trngs.

Its eating into my life, every single minute. We're not let off on a SundayFunday either. Hello long road ahead, I'll see you tomorrow, please be soft on me, I beg for leniency.

Did something pretty fun today. We sent Dick off at the airport early morning, she's like some pro player, gon Korea to play her tennis XD Somehow sending someone off and knowing someone is going but exclude the sending part, the feeling is really different. This whole week feels like the start of the year once again, travel back in time to PAE period. Reason being: the wonderful P word comes to easily when it comes to lectures once more, to the extent of tutorials too XD I love this kind of world. Back to reality AlineChan, apparently things are not going as well as I would like it to be. Promos results are out and haunting my life away each minute. Monday was absolutely vile because I received not one, not two, but five blows at one go. EmoNemo WhinyWhiny aside. Friends are what keep me going. THE lovelies came to visit today, TADA JessicaChan & CharmaineChew + met-once-friend whom I only know as HuaHua ! They came with cookies that tasted so awesome! We helped them surprise their birthday friend, we were labelled as TYPICAL IJ GIRLS! Is that a good thing? Being typical IJ girls, welllll OF COURSE IT IS!!!! Only fools like 'a teacher who shall not be named' condemns us, oh what the heck, he's not in my line of happy vision now (: I love your cookies veryvery much, but I love y'all muchmuch moreeeee!!!

Lonely bus ride home today because the bus-bud had to rush off. So she was thus replaced with the poddy, Tuesdays with Morrie and a random stranger old man who nicely accompanied me all the way to my stop ! XD

I discovered that my classmates and I are intellectual beings. Truly. We spent almost 2 hours in Borders today, reading about a compilation of Murders, playing who-finds-the-book-first-WINS, browsing and wowing at places of interest around the world, laughing at pink covered chick lits slapped with a martini and trashy titles. We found a book that has a title : THIS IS NOT CHICK LIT !!! What on earth man, I bet it was a book on SELF DENIAL. I bought a new book, I'm was left broke, paid nyny 25Cents for my drink, and my wallet was then drained. (:

DeniseChua came down today, it was sooooo nice seeing the familiar blue pinafore, the HIJ pe shirt around school again, OH MY I miss it. I'm feeling so jaded and exhausted these days, nothing much can keep me awake, I miss my bed now.

Spouts of randomness again, I wanna see a rainbow now, I wanna die in the Niagara Falls, I wanna meet up with my friends soon, I wanna see the AURORA, its some natural light displays in the sky, they look really pretty!

The week has been relaxing and hectic at the same time. Relaxing without having lessons AT ALL! Zilch! (: Hectic back again with the start of training, Pee-Double-EW and Open House.

Sportsmen night on Thursday was not as exciting, but then again, I didn't expect much. It was just dinner for all the sportsmen of VJC plus the teachers and coaches, lucky draws, speeches and tonnes of gossiping and jokes about neighneighs and pastures XD I sprained my ankle on that fateful night bleahhhhhh

Open house on Saturday. A pity so many IJ juniors couldn't come 'cause of those mock exam tests. Both maths on the same day !?!? Poorthings. Glad I still saw some of them, and some even signed up for soccer (: Ushering and soccerbooth tending/walkabout was pretty interesting, but really tiring and hot. The kicking part was always fun definitely. VJ's open house is always so engaging, with the F1 simulators, Zipline, Rockclimbing, Kicking and so many performances with our own liveband. No parents at home this weekend, HAVOC ! XP Granny cooked a uber nice dinner for us today, stingray plus bak ku teh she's zeee best!!

Spontaneous Relaxing Sunday with Tano and Bing, plus a bout of Jeaness (: Swim in the morning, the 3 of us spent 2 hours in the pool for only 2 laps XD I learnt a backflip in the water. Baking with Bing the professional baker, was really enjoyable, thanks for accompanying me once again Wheee! The cookies turned out pretty good cookie monster!! Parents are gon be back tmr, its back to the routine life once more, schooltrainingschooltrainingschooltraining...

1 week of hardcore mugathon plus carving the answers on the scripts, less of hair-pulling this time round, maybe because my hair is all clipped up. Explored all over Singapore for good places to study, I conclude that people everywhere do not want students to study-they chase us out all the time.

Post exams celebrations were a blast!! 3 days of havoc and its time to settle down now. Lunch with a mix at cartel was really hilarious, especially with the cartoon ET trying to flag down all the cabs with her OI and EH UNCLE. Watched Mamma Mia, it was so trashy, but yet so darn funny. A bunch of oldies fooling around, sudden random spouts of abba songs in a so normal conversation. It was a really good de-stress movie, laughed all the shit out! Hung around doing my favourite thing-bum around all night till it was dark.

Saturday was the brilliant one. "It was a spontaneous adventure". Soccer with the favourites in the early morning all the way east. Followed by big carl's jr. and a monorail to Palawan!! Volleyball, diving, soccer, cheerleading, sandbath, seaweed 'love thy nature' and new species!!! Barcardi, cuts, shades and camwhores! These made up the adventure part. Spontaneous was sleeping over at Tano's, so last minute, we didn't even go home to take our stuffs. The Freedom Writers and Music and Lyrics. Sleepover was a really high event, with lots of pillow taupoking and giggling and even chokeslamming. How alarming!!!








Swim event with my all time favourite swimming bud, Ness the Buta. Hung out at my place for a while after that, just like the old times heehee!! Lots of reminiscing and catching up to do. What a spectacular weekend with such awesome company. No regrets going through that week of horror, even more scary than Ju-on, although I didn't even watch Ju-on. XD

Back to the same old lifestyle now. Trng resumed yesterday, yay hellooo socceroos! The start of trng was fun, with games in the hall. Although I was freaking stress 'cause the bus ain't moving and I was gonna be late. Sheesh I was chanting all the way from paya lebar "faster faster faster", it didn't work :/
