Aline officially did it today. Withdrew from my Japanese H2 after weeks of procrastination. I finally did it, and I ain't feeling happy at all, but kinda more of a sense of relief that I don't need to fulfil that responsibility of turning up every Monday Friday at MOELC, all breathless and late. Jeaness accompanied me to MOELC to hand in the withdrawal form. The MOELC supervisor-the one who know us by face already because we 'kena' scolded by him A LOT of times, even went to his office to get scolded. He thought I was dropping Jap because of him. XD He think he so 'tua pai'. Crap I'm getting more dialect-y ever since I went into VJ. More multi-cultured I should say.

Toured MOELC campus once more, eating our usual favourite condense milk icecream and carrot cake, going to our usual hangout, where Jillian I and Jeaness always sit. Reminiscing about the past, our Taiko days, the silly landyard times, fooling around, O level times sitting in the canteen studying, our all time favourite Tom Yam Cup Noodles. I will definitely miss those times. I used to look forward to Jap lessons, because it was oh-so-fun with J3I'07 and J4H'08, and our dear funny sensei!!! Crashed Chua Sensei's H1 lesson today, saw YooJin and Xinying there too, sat in for awhile before feeling awkward XD Bid my farewells to the canteen auntie and the librarian who we saw the whole of last year. Oh my I'm missing MOELC already, its like my 2nd school. Been there since Sec 1, started off feeling like a lost sheep, ended my journey there feeling super bigshot because all the Sec 1s looked so..CUCKOO!! hahahaha.

NIHONGO SAYOUNARA!

Today could be the worst day of my life!! ): UGH!
How much more screwed up could it get? I was like so freaking troubled and scared and pissed off by it, I think it affected others, and I'm really sorry. Even my seniors could tell that something was wrong, because I wasn't my usual high self. )': 3rd week into school only and I got blacklisted, what a way to start the year Aline Chan.

Anyway I got banned from training. (Like how stewwwwpeeed is that) It was so emotionally and mentally torturing. But coach still let me train today, he was really super nice about it. Trng was a killer though. Ran 1.1km x 3 at the seniors' fast pace, plus 2.2km fast pace too. Of course, I wasn't fit enough yet so I became a lagger. After those runs, my legs were officially jelly-like and cramping during trng. Yikes, what a absolute horrid day. Bus took ages to come, reached home really really late without dinner yet. UGH I hope with all my heart that tmrw will be a much better day. But my friends are ponning and I won't get to see them, that saddens me, haha.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERICA!!! You're 17th and ageing!! (:

Sunday, January 27, 2008

Trng yesterday wasn't bad at all. Coach was really nice when he asked us to talk to him. In fact, he more or less solved some of my problems. (: Ran 4.8km, the guys x-country route. Watched the seniors played a match against Bishan Arsenal. I bet half of the players there are guys, I'm positive. Their build, their looks, their skills and their behavious, oh gosh. They are really really pro though, they trashed us once before. It was a very exciting game to watch, all the seniors are really good. I have that doubt that no matter how hard I train, I can't be like them. I have like zero talent for soccer, wonder how I got here in the first place. Anyway, score was 6-1 I think, we scored the penalty 1. Juicy and I kept giving them names, like Chucky who kept falling down, the goalie who is so definitely a MAN, and the one who lets down her hair to play, geez.

Just that few hours in the sun and my face's a little burnt-redred!! XD Did our Japanese drills and we were done.

Right now I'm more or less trouble-free. Decided on some already, like V-Viva-Viva La Victoria and PCME. Oh that reminds me, I have to withdraw my Japanese, my heart aches everytime I say that. But something's gotta go for others to come right. I really want to stay in soccer, and really want to get into ODAC. So I'll leave that for now.

O's results were out yesterday. I've got nothing to say, it was totally unexpected. Anyway, not only was my fate not sealed, it has brought me more troubles by opening up choices for me. And I hate having to make these kinds of decisions that will inadvertently affect my life some what or another. Why can't I have my cake and EAT it. Rawr I have to decide more or less by Monday. I hope I'll find the answer soon or I'll be really sad. )':

Up to now its still between vee or arr. Jap or Phy or another humanities. Soccer or Jap. Soccer or ODAC.

Anyway, meeting up today with the pals was really awesome. Even though I've been seeing them quite often recently. But seeing them always make me feel good. I miss hanging out with the group like almost 24/7 back in IJ. Just lunching together, crapping again, singing songs in town making ppl stare, binge on icecream, shop shop shop ah! Collected my pay today, yay, but how on earth did a 13 cents pop out? They must have really calculated every single second that I worked or something.

Soccer training tmrw and I'm a teeny bit afraid, I don't know why. Guilty conscience I suppose.
:(

Monday was 'crashing-RJC' day. Boy the environment there is really different in a sense that its brighter too, windy, theres reception everywhere and its all green compared to our beautiful yellow at VJC!

Tuesday was JTS for our OG IYROCUS!! Pics are up and I decided to do a special for our super super SELF OBSESSED OGL and OG member-Gabriel & XuanYi. JTS was at Swensens at Parkway, and I so thats how I became more broke! JC life is indeed expensive! Mark crashed our OG, the best OG ever, so he had a price to pay-MTAE(Mark treat Aline Erica). But he was so nice, he treated all of us to 2 Giant EARTHQUAKESS!!!! (: Thank You Mark! Thank You Huiyi for the sweetsweet card and pictures!! Thank You Gabriel for magnets and the note! I love Iyrocus and I hope I can stay in it forever!

This is the PICTURE OF THE WEEK!!

Mark actually used his tongue to tie a cherry stick knot!

Today, you can say its one of my best days in VJC!!! Coming to school today was a total waste of time. PE was slack time for me today, jogged super slowly at the back with Jasmine and Dick. Breaked 2 periods. GP-Mr Teo wasn't here, slacked in the library. Chem lec was sleeping time for Juicy and I, so obviously right infront of the lecturer, Jeolinita the crasher helped me take notes. Ponned Maths lec. What an awesome school day! Hahaha. Plus we had SUBWAY for lunch today!! Ordered yesterday. I think this SC Subway system is totally cool and it should be done EVERYDAY! I love my subsub!! Soccer training was good good and good. Coach made us all so emo. He and Kuan Ren gave talks and speeches, huddled together for group prayer, sang the school song solemnly, people cried. Okaaay..Juicy and I couldn't help it but emo a little too. )': But after that, we became super super high, exchanging contacts and singing so loudly in the toilet, hugging everyone and going crazy. Dinner at Siglap with soccer girls, teletubby and J3 Farah. We were so noisy that when we left, the silence was so piercing.

ALRIGHT NOW ITS LIKE 14 MORE HOURS TO MY FATE! My fate will be sealed tmr, with that horrible double digit popping out at me, digging at my heart, tears falling down my cheek, and UGH! Thats what I dreamt by the way. I hope it doesn't come true. Or Aline will be really really sad. I AM SO FREAKING SCARED RIGHT NOW.

Thursday was Back-To-IJ time. Nostalgic feelings the moment we entered the TOA PAYOH area, not saying how we felt once we stepped back into IJ. Memories of previous years just washed us over and wiped us out. I never realised how much I miss IJ until then. I guess VJ has just been keeping me preoccupied with all its non-stop activities. Walked through the gates of IJ and we saw the horror! One side of the canteen is being blocked out for construction!! Ugh how awful, but I bet its gonna be really cool when its done, because an indoor sports hall is currently being built right now! (: But I won't get to use it!! )': Toured the school a bit and sat outside the AVA meeting room chatting with Ms Teo. Manage to catch a glimpse of all the teachers after their meeting. Ms Teo invited us into the HOD room where we ate their food and surf their net for Korean hotties (Yes, with our teacher too) Students called in saying "Good afternoon teachers, may I speak to ___ please" and we appeared saying "Yes what do you want?" Hahaha, bet they were shocked to see us instead. I love IJ!!

Friday was a whole lot of business, with 5 periods of Chem without the '80's Rewind', oversleeping in the library and thus late for Econs Tutorial with Sleepyheads Jessica and Jasmine, soccer training and OG BBQ at ECP! IYROCUS gathers again once more at the beach, romantic-timing together, exchanging pickup lines like "Lets count shoulders" and "My love for you is like this plastic bag, its non-biodegradable", hahahah. Camwhored a lot, and I'm surprised the guys are more interested in camwhoring than the girls!! Played Indian Poker and lots of mind games which almost drove me nuts until I figured them out and drove others nuts instead. XD Reached home at almost midnight, was in a rush to catch the last and final train home, otherwise I'll be roaming the streets like a lost child.

Saturday was CCA Orientation for the Sec 1s back at IJ. Needless to say, us 3 patriots of IJ skipped soccer trng with Coach's permission and went back to join in the fun! It was so happening there, better than last year's I think, or maybe its just different perspective. When we were in 4/2 and had to beg people to sign up for Track, compared to now 08S62-imposter Sec 1s who so willingly signed up for IJ Track. (Like that's ever gonna happen). Played basketball with Mr Jiow again, just like what we used to do last time. Saw his ever so cute daughter, Sarah.

Fell sick after everything, these continuous days of lack-of-sleep and over-play. Maybe I'm still adjusting from the change of relaxing schedule to hectic ones, and my stewwpeed body cannot take it. Sadcase Aline is recuperating at home today, sleeping and sleeping away. I feel like shit and I hope this feeling goes away soon. ):

This is my lovely OG-IYROCUS!! Yeahh. Picture taken during Sea Regatta last Monday.

Celebrated Jia Da's 17th on Thursday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY FELLOW OG!

ODAC CAMP---B2B (Back to Basics) 3D2N =Friday and over the weekends
Shiok ah! Cougar's the name for my team, and our super cool identity is ORANGE GOGGLES! So cool that even D.I wants one. (:

Started camp off with games, hide and seek kinda game with our G.Is, followed by outdoor cooking competition. Our food looks fantastically nice, and it tasted great too, but we got 4th placing. )': Night activities was so exciting-a murder in Abbey Mansion (VJC) and we had to go round finding and interviewing the others. The actors and actress were so pro at acting, they got me in awe and shock. All the emotions they displayed. SCAAARYY! Slept in the hall. Good night.

Day 2 was Double U expedition-Urban Ex and Ubin Ex. Mounted our large bag packs and zoomed all across Singapore finding clues and doing stunts. Super tiring, running here and there with those turtle shells XD Lastly bum-boated to Pulau Ubin where we cycled all around looking for checkpoints and gamemasters once more. Our smart little group decided to take the short cut and we encountered the MUD BATH. Splash and we all had brown muddy shoes and brown spotted tees. () ; Walked like half hour in the rain in our ponchos singing songs until we reached our campsite (only to realise that the walk back took 3 minutes. And why? Because our G.Is purposely led us the loooong roundabout route) Haha. Pitched tents, had campfire which is funfunfun, but our group performance sucked to the core. Night walk was one of the scariest thing in my life I'd say. It was a SOLO NIGHT WALK, where they dispatched us one by one at 2 minutes interval. It was dark like crazy and the G.Is at the side were hardly visible, some looked like dogs. It was like a 5 minute walk each, without torchlight. Eeeks, but glad I did it, 'cause it really made me more confident someway or another.

Day 3 was captains ball and Dragon Boating at Kallang. Splashes and Splashes, our goggles came in rather useful. Our 4 boats had a race, and naturally the G.Is won, but cougar came in 2nd! Bus-ed back to school and it was tent washing time! Funfun, it was like carwash but more fun. Got ourselves all wet once more. Lunch at 4pm, and break camp. Aw!

It was truly fun, bites eyebags injuries and all, it was all worth it.

Monday's orientation was ultra fun! SEA REGATTA @ ECP!!! I never knew ECP was THAT NEAR VJC, its only 100m apart. Played games in the water, everyone got Dunked, Dipped & Pushed some way or another. It was a blast, and in the end, IGOR came in champion!!! (: IGOR ROAR!!! And our Igorians biathletes came in 3rd!! So proud of them. Did mass dance on the grass in our wet sandy attires. VJ just can't stop loving mass dance, don't we? The songs and some moves are still stuck in my head until now, can't help but sing to Juicy "Someone stole my brand new chevrolet~" Anyway, went for OG lunch at Thai Pan and it was fantastic! The food there is good and cheap, with nice ambience because everyone is victorians! Plus the auntie gave us all free redbean soup. Sweeet. Sean STJ us to butter squids, claimed its a victorian-all-time-favourite. It was indeed awesome! I'd say its a MUST TRY OR YOU DIE kind of food!!

Bused 13 down to Bishan and I so hate that bus route, I'm never going to take it again. It takes a freaking hour, and it doesn't help that nature's call in 1/4 of the journey and I have to tahan for 45 minutes. Ugh. Jap is worrying me, scared I can't qualify for H2, scared time clashes, scared I'm not pro enough. HAHAHA. So sad la, its supposed to be honeymoon this whole month and yet here I am, being stupid to think about all these yet.

Anyway, school starts today. Lectures are boring yet some funny, tutorials are a B-O-R-E! I love those in between breaks, because thats when snack time comes in--->CANTEEN TIME! I ate like 4 times today. XD Crashed Money's class Physics lecture today and I so regretted it, because it was ultra B too. Juicy and I ended earlier than the rest, so we had fun touring the school. Tried on VJ's uniform :D Went to the gallery up in the hall to cycle 3km. Its a pathetic replacement of our original plan to ECP. Went to the Igloo to chill out. But it was flooded with J2s we don't know, so we went to the x-box room and we were so pathetic, we didn't know how to set up the x-box. So we ended up sleeping on the beanbag cushions, so comfy with the aircon turned on and the room was dark and empty. (: One word--SHIOK. The Igloo is an uber cool place, its like a students' lounge, with xbox, pool table, foosball, darts. Evil Juicy and I went for soccer trials today, funfunfun. We learn how to head the ball properly, haha. And we three got in! (: Za and Money are in Cheerleading! Yeah!!

Sunday, January 6, 2008

Okay so I just broke my resolution to stay at home today an hour after. Nat date us out all of a sudden. Had lunch with her Chew and Teow at Bishan. No details needed except that we laughed at Teow for being so auntie.

Auntie teow at ntuc choosing beijing cabbage

POWER POWER POWER!! VJ's orientation is seriously power! I'm having so much fun, I'm losing my voice and yet I'm still hyper. (: 2nd Day of O1 was mainly CCA walkabout and that was funny too. There were 3 fake CCAs and ogls tried to con us into joining them. Those who joined will have to do forfeit on stage, HAHAHA. I signed up for 7 CCAs and obviously, I'm going to go for tryouts and not join all. XD 3rd Day was wet games. We got to wash hair!! Heeh.

Saturday was best! Mass Dance at Suntec Fountain of Wealth at night. Plus it rained quite heavily halfway through, and we danced in the rain, classic I'd say. Did all the crazy train run around the fountain, poking people and london-bridge-ing them, high-five anyone and shouting our guts out. It was the most amazing and crazy time. That was the cause of my 'no voice' state now. Shir and Caty came, and again, we went crazy upon seeing them. Screaming the famous IJ scream in delight. Had supper with them at BK and laughed at Dic's misfortune. It was one crazy night and I resolve to have 100% rest today at home. I shall not go out AT ALL! Have been coming home really late everynight since Countdown @ MarinaBay.

I want more orientation and no lessons please. Monday will be much much more fun!! Biathlon and Sea Regatta, Yeah!!! ():

VJC ORIENTATION is one word:: CRAZY!!!
It was hella lot of fun fun plus more fun! I don't think I've ever screamed, cheered, clapped and dance so much in one day before. The OGLs were really cool too. I'm in IGOR!! Sub-group Iyrocus. Yeahhh

IGOR ROAR
IGOR ROAR
IGOR IMBA!!!

Its green again, I like. Learnt many many many cheers today, the college anthem and 2 mass dances. (: VJ cheers like mad, and that makes everyone more hyped up! Wheee. It was so tiring, but I'm looking forward to Day 2 tmr again. And I'm now a freshman! XD

Good-bye 2007/Hello 2008.

Started of the year with a great big bang! The splendid thing called FIREWORKS!!

First, met up with Shana, Joanna, Jo's boyfriend and her friend. Had lunch at The Central, quite a new mall at Clarke Quay. It's supposedly a Japanese-themed mall, but not much though. Walked to City Hall afterwards and I met Jeaness.

Bought our gears to keep our stomach going for the 7 hours wait till midnight. Went to Marina Bay Waterfront near Esplanade to 'chope' good seats for the fireworks. The wait was tedious. Entertained ourselves with food, cards, rubik's cube, light stick and camwhore the rest of the time. It became dark quickly and lizards started coming. YIKESSS! I had the job of using the light stick to chase away any unwanted brown creatures on the pursuit of our food. Going to the toilet was impossible, but brave Jeaness did it anyway. It was vile and disgusting, worse than China's worst. There were like pads all over the floor with you-know-what on them. Anyway, according to the newspaper, 160000 people are expected there, with 750 policemen. Whoa! Everyone's so excited for the new year.

Finally 10, 9, 8.....3, 2, 1 HAPPY NEW YEAR and the beautiful colours lighted up the sky. I felt that the awful wait was all worthwhile. (:

Going home was horrendous though. Waited for the crowd to disperse first, but it was still bad. Didn't have to walk to the MRT at all, we got pushed right in. Same thing for going into the train. But I think if everyone didn't push me, I might not have made it into the train at all, haha. So thanks for pushing and jabbing and squeezing. Reached home early in the morning 2am. In short, the night was Fabulous and fireworks were Fantastic!! And I'm J1 this year!
